Why we need sunlight
The Importance of Sunlight in our daily life.
Sunlight provides more than just an aid to vitamin D production. It's not really a vitamin, but a hormone that boosts immunity and energy.
Different wavelengths of light (different colors) present at different times of the day affect us differently. Each wavelength has a specific therapeutic effect.
π Such as UVA (ultraviolet A):
Increases nitric oxide, which is a vasodilator in the body, which improves blood flow, oxygen saturation, breathing rate and blood glucose levels.
π Red spectrum, which is present throughout the day, affects the function of the mitochondria, which is responsible for energy balance and health.
π Natural light influences the production of neurotransmitters (serotonin, melatonin and dopamine), helping to combat anxiety, depression, etc.
π Blue light gives an invigorating effect. Helps with seasonal affective disorder and depression, improves sleep quality and adjusts circadian rhythm.
